The CenterBall Story

After more than 20 years, the idea became reality!
The vision to create a new football sport from traditional goal wall shooting was pursued by Uwe Schneider during his active football career in the 3rd and 4th German league. For many years, he traveled from one folk festival to another, regularly taking home prizes. He managed the trick of 6 shots / 6 hits countless times. From football trips to the 1998 World Cup in France, to cash prizes or some trophies – at the 2006 World Cup, he won the grand prize with 6 hits: a brand-new car worth €15,000.
The rules and the goal wall with five holes of different point values had long existed in his mind. The prototype was finally built in 2015 together with Christoph Binninger, Markus Kaniber, and Ian Staples in the rooftop area of a furniture store in Regensburg.
