CB-BIATHLON rulebook
Rules Centerball Biathlon
Number of players: unlimited
Goal: To complete the course in the shortest possible time.
Start game:
The game begins for the other player at the start/finish line.
One player from each team starts by running half a lap of the field along the yellow marker cones to the first target in the soccer goal, where they take three shots from the 5-meter line at target 2. Next, they run half a lap to the next target and take three shots at target 3. They then run to target 5, followed by another half lap to target 4. Finally, they run one lap to the center target. The last run is a half lap directly to the goal. Each of the five targets must be shot at three times.
Penalty lap:
For each missed shot, a short penalty lap must be completed immediately after firing the 3 shots.
This is marked by yellow cones running from the start of the penalty area to the center line.
Timing/Proof of Hits:
As one player starts, a player from the opposing team starts timing and noting hits/misses. Only hits or misses count; the number of points scored is irrelevant. The time stops when the player crosses the finish line. Only after both players who started simultaneously have completed their laps does the second leg of the relay begin, in which the other two players compete. The two times for each team are added together. In the event of an exact tie, the team with the higher number of hits wins.
The rules of the game were invented and developed by Uwe Schneider, the game's creator, in 2018.
